What is an innovation sprint?

An innovation sprint is a week-long sprint where you sit down with us so we can get to know your business and explore new opportunities together. The goal is for you to see things from new perspectives, and in turn become inspired and motivated to transform your organization in ways you may not have thought possible.

It’s a creative journey in many ways, but also a structured process where we jointly prioritize initiatives that make a real difference to your business. We work methodically with workshops, analysis, and discussions to ensure every effort is aligned with your business goals. The sprint is also an opportunity for you to lift your gaze, think outside the box, and challenge your mindset and established patterns.

During the week, we’ll meet for about three half-days, and on the final day we’ll present our recommendations. And we’re not just talking about a list of ideas – we're talking about a concrete plan for how you can work with innovation moving forward.

An innovation sprint...

  • is a combination of workshops, discussions, and knowledge sharing.

  • is an opportunity for you to experience what it's like to work with us.

  • is about inspiring and motivating you to transform your business for the better.

  • is a chance to break down problems and find solutions that create business value.

What do you get from an innovation sprint?

After the sprint, you’ll be inspired and motivated to start actively working with innovation. You’ll receive concrete recommendations on how to reach your goals, clear priorities for what to focus on first, and a well-defined roadmap for the way forward. The sprint lays the foundation for your innovation efforts and helps you build a structure that makes innovation a natural part of your business.

An innovation sprint is just as much about business development as it is about technology - and we guarantee it will be an eye-opener for you. It’s also a great opportunity to experience what it’s like to work with us at Meta Bytes, without committing to a long-term partnership. No matter what path you choose after the sprint, you’ll leave with fresh inspiration, insights, and ideas, along with a concrete step-by-step plan to move closer to your goals.

If you and your colleagues live by the motto “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it”, then an innovation sprint probably isn’t the right fit for you.

Who should do an innovation sprint?

An innovation sprint is most valuable for forward-thinking, driven, and curious organizations with big ambitions. You should have a long-term vision, be open to exploring new possibilities, and never feel fully satisfied. You’re always looking ahead, striving for more, and open to change.

An innovation sprint is an investment in the future of your business, which is why it helps to enter the sprint with clearly defined values, a company culture that supports change and innovation, and a strong desire to explore new opportunities. It’s also important that you’re willing to hand over a significant part of the responsibility to us - simply take a step back and focus on what you do best, and we’ll do the same.

Who runs the innovation sprint?

You'll be visited by Oskar and one of our Delivery Leads. Oskar is our—well, probably southern Sweden’s—biggest tech nerd, and what he doesn’t know about tech probably isn’t worth knowing. He also brings a strong entrepreneurial perspective—after all, he (together with Henrik) is the reason Meta Bytes exists in the first place. Our Delivery Leads also love tech as well as having a strong focus on the people involved in any change process. They prioritize business development, see potential everywhere, and are experts at turning ideas into reality.

FAQ – Innovation Sprint

How long does it take?

The sprint runs for one week and requires about 20 hours of your time. Preparation and follow-up work from our side is included.

How should we prepare?

No preparation is required - you already have the answers to everything we’re curious about. As we say in the video, we just need to lift the stones and explore the possibilities underneath. The most important thing is that the right people participate - those who understand the business and your ambitions.

What does it cost?

An innovation sprint typically costs SEK 140,000 - 200,000. This includes an intensive week of collaboration as well as preparation and follow-up work from our side.

What happens after the innovation sprint?

After the sprint, you will receive a report with concrete recommendations. You can then choose to implement the initiatives on your own, with us, or with another technology partner.

Who should participate?

We recommend 2 - 4 participants who understand the business, the commercial context, and your strategic goals. For the best results, we also recommend that one member of the executive team and someone working with business development participate.

Do we need technical knowledge to participate?

No! Meta Bytes may be a tech company, but that doesn’t mean the innovation sprint will be all about technology. In fact, there’s usually very little technical discussion. The focus is on your business and what you want to achieve. If technology turns out to be part of the solution - we’ll take care of that.

What if we don’t achieve what we hoped during the sprint?

We can promise that you will walk away from the sprint with valuable insights and new ideas. If you don’t, we’ve done something wrong — and that has never happened. ;)
